🐻 A Day at Little Bear Island Camp

Apparently the fishing isn’t the only thing that’s wild around here! 🐻😂

Little Bear Island Camp makes a pretty great fishing headquarters on Lake of the Woods… but some days, the wildlife decides to steal the show.

This young black bear wandered right through camp, checked out the dock, and then decided the best seat on the island was up in one of our trees. 🌲🐻

One of our favorite things about island life is that you just never know what you’re going to see. Come for the fishing, stay for the sunsets, the quiet, the island life…and apparently a little wildlife viewing too. ❤️

💍❤️ A Little Bear Island Camp FIRST! ❤️💍

We’ve had a lot of special memories made here over the years, but this one is a first for us!

During their stay at Little Bear Island Camp, Robert popped the question to Paige while they were out in the boat… and SHE SAID YES! 💍🎣❤️

Talk about the perfect catch! 😉

We are so excited for Paige & Robert and honored that their stay with us will forever be part of such a special chapter in their story.

Congratulations to the happy couple! Here’s to a lifetime of love, fishing, and adventures together. ❤️🥂

Late August at Little Bear Island Camp 🎣🌲

The mornings are getting a little cooler, the evenings come a little sooner, and you can definitely feel fall starting to sneak into the air. But the fishing is still going strong, the sunsets have been beautiful, and we’re soaking up every bit of summer we have left.

We’ve had some wonderful guests come through Little Bear this season—lots of fish caught, stories told, good meals shared, and memories made. ❤️

These are the days we wait for all winter long.

🎣 Will your name make the board this summer? 🎣

One of our favorite traditions at Little Bear Island Camp is our Big Fish Board!

Throughout the season, guests earn a spot on the board by catching one of our qualifying fish. Then, right around Christmas, we put every name on the board into a drawing for a FREE night’s stay at Little Bear Island Camp! 🎄🏕️

The board is already filling up with some incredible catches—walleyes, smallmouth bass, northern pike, muskies, and more—but there’s still plenty of room for new names!

Emily was out targeting walleye with nothing more than a purple spinner when this giant musky decided to crash the party! 😲

Talk about an unforgettable surprise! Congratulations on an incredible catch and a memory that will last a lifetime. 🐟💜

Love seeing everyone out enjoying this beautiful place on such a hot day. Kids still in the water, families gathered along the shoreline, and another perfect day at camp. These are the moments that make summer great! 🌅❤️
