« Live & Local » est une série musicale gratuite et axée sur la communauté, qui met à l’honneur les artistes qui vivent et créent ici même, chez nous. Certaines soirées sont animées par un musicien local différent, qui apporte sur scène son univers musical, ses collaborateurs et sa vision créative.

Artiste chevronnée, Claire Bestland s’est produite dans diverses salles telles que l’Ogden Museum of Southern Art et le Civic Theatre à La Nouvelle-Orléans, le Black Sheep Inn, la 4e scène du Centre national des Arts, ainsi qu’au théâtre Hebbel am Ufer à Berlin. Elle n’a cessé d’approfondir sa pratique en recherchant (et parfois en étudiant auprès de) ses idoles musicales, telles que Roy « Futureman » Wooten, et vient tout juste de terminer une période d’études avec Rory Block.

Musicienne aux multiples facettes, ses racines et sa passion restent ancrées dans la guitare en tant qu’instrument solo aux motifs rythmiques percussifs, qu’elle développe comme vecteur d’une expression émotionnelle innovante.

Live & Local is a free, community-centred music series celebrating the artists who live and create right here at home, with select evenings hosted by a different local musician bringing their own sound, collaborators, and creative vision to the stage.

Seasoned performer Claire Bestland has performed at various venues like the Ogden Museum of Southern Art and the Civic Theatre in New Orleans, the Black Sheep Inn, the National Arts Centre’s 4th Stage, and Berlin’s Hebbel am Ufer Theatre. She has continually deepened her practice by seeking out (and at times studying with) musical heroes such as Roy “Futureman” Wooten, and most recently completed a period of study with Rory Block.

A highly diverse musician, her roots and passion remain with the guitar as a solo instrument of percussive rhythmic patterns, which she develops as a vehicle for innovative emotive expression.

Après une série de représentations à guichets fermés à travers l’Ontario, Jangus Comedy faisons passer la compétition au niveau supérieur en réunissant les meilleurs talents comiques de tout le Canada pour une soirée inoubliable au Motel Chelsea. Attendez-vous à des éclats de rire, à une rivalité amicale acharnée et à certains des humoristes les plus drôles du pays qui s’affronteront pour remporter les honneurs de leur province.
