-more local art hanging in our halls
- buy our dog treats from local social enterprise that employs adults with developmental disabilities
- plant hundreds of trees
-switched to bulk personal care amenities
-winner of hotel association of canada green key award
-top 3 national finalist Canadian nature awards
-winner best Ottawa business sustainability award
- finalist Ontario tourism awards of excellence in sustainability

We cannot wait to see what the next 5 years bring.

We recently started a partnership with Just Good Composting to divert all of our food waste from landfill to compost creation. The icing on the cake for this collaboration is they provide gainful employment to adults with developmental disabilities as well. This parternship is one we are very proud of. The weather was perfect for our semi-annual Moodie Drive clean up. We had lots of helpers today. Then it was followed by a special staff lunch from our friends at The East India Company. The menu was basmati rice, butter chicken, chana masala, navrata korma, fish curry and nan bread. We wanted to celebrate an incredibly high score of 98.7% in our Hyatt Operations Audit for cleanliness etc. Way to go team.
