Formerly known as the Carleton County Gaol, this preserved heritage building guarantees a one-of-a-kind experience as you may spend the night in one of the former cells or take a tour of the 8th floor where death row inmates counted their last hours. Don't worry, we also offer all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay: a bar, a backyard patio, organized events, a kitchen, a FREE continental breakfast, free Wi-Fi access and much more.

🌿 Earth Day in Action at Saintlo 🌿

For us, Earth Day is much more than just a date on the calendar. It is an opportunity to reaffirm our commitment to being a place of influence for the ecological transition and a model of sustainability within the hospitality sector.

This year, our Ottawa and Montreal hostels joined forces to strengthen our teams' environmental skills through hands on activities.

🌀 At Saintlo Ottawa Jail Hostel – Greening was in the spotlight with a houseplant workshop. Led by Jeremy, our Front Desk Supervisor and former horticulturist, this session allowed the team to:

- Master the art of propagation and repotting
- Discover the physical and mental health benefits of plants
- Learn practical tips to bring back home
