A cozy two-bedroom near Spencer's Island NS nestled among the trees on a private lane which passes thru our blueberry fields and 3 minutes from beach on Bay of Fundy. Rates: $752.50 per seven day week, $125.00 per day. (Maximum 6 for a Family with children, OR 4 adults). Pets welcome, with any damages the responsibility of their owner. s. We provide all bedding, towels, wash cloths, cooking & baking wares, plates and silverware, etc & with full-size appliances including fridge, stove, washer & dryer, TV with DVD. There is a barbecue outside, with chairs and table ready under a screened tent. You can pick blueberries from the edges of our field in season for delicious pancakes or muffins or just to munch on. We have washer toss games to share. You are always welcome to have a game and/or bonfire on the beach (if tides co-operate!). The quiet is soothing, making one want to curl up with a book or take a long nap before heading to the Beach, a quick stroll away, with areas to look for fossils or just miles of walking – maybe seeing another human –or- maybe not. Being aware of the tide is a must for beach strolls – but all these details will be carefully explained. If you want to be with people, there is also full beach access available two miles away at Spencer’s Island, Gift Shop, an open Lighthouse and Mary Celeste cairn with lots of history to explore, a Boat Launch if you travel with a boat. You can even have picnics &/or bonfires right on the beach. There are many other areas to explore – including Cape Chignecto Park for a hike or Cape D’Or, Joggins Fossil Museum, etc. Kayaking and boat tours are available for those who enjoy being on the water and touring the coastline. There are also several waterfalls in the area for those who are up for a challenge. West Advocate has miles of beaches to explore too. Fresh from the bay lobsters or scallops available in season! Wild Caraway Restaurant, The Hook & Anchor Restaurant are a must for a meal out at lunch or a leisurely evening meal. We also can boast a great Country Store that offers pizza’s, sandwiches, sweets, and Daily Lunch Specials year round! They also have movies for rent (we have some on our shelf as well for your use), a great variety of foods and are the local liquor outlet. Hanham's Pizza has a great menu as well & a very popular Donair. Be sure to get your photo taken beside or in the giant Lobster Trap beside the kiosk at the store! Enjoy your snack at the picnic tables in the kiosk too. A thirty minute scenic drive takes you to Parrsboro where there is Ship’s Company Theater with live theater, the Fundy Geological Center with lots of dinosaur tales, an antique shop, several Gift Shops, fresh veggie stands, art displays, creative displays that are different and unique each year PLUS the most scenic Golf Course in the world– just a few of the things available for you to explore or do. Come for a spell - walk on the ocean floor at low tides and enjoy the water filling in when the tide rushes into all the nooks and crannies! It is something to see, even those of us who see it often! (I have been told there is 56 billion tons of water that come into the Bay twice a day- and empties too, so that is why we tell you to KNOW where the tide is! We also give (totally free) one week to a Family with a sick child or ill parent as a place to be happy, make fun-filled memories while building strength to move on.
