Easiest-to-access airport hotel for overnight layover: Winnipeg, Edmonton or Calgary?
If we’re talking about pure convenience for a freezing Canadian night layover, Calgary and Edmonton definitely win the round.

Calgary: Both the Calgary Marriott and the Delta are top-tier choices. The Marriott is literally attached to the terminal, and the Delta is an easy, fully indoor walk as well. No need to brace the Canadian winter wind.

Edmonton: The Renaissance is another textbook win—it‘s seamlessly connected to the airport, making it a breeze for a quick overnight crash.

Winnipeg: The Grand and Lakeview are still decent options, but they aren’t fully integrated. You’ll have to cross a road outside. While it’s just a short walk, that brief gust of wind can be a brutal wake-up call if you‘re traveling during peak winter.

💡 Tip: As an OTA manager, I always tell my clients: airport hotels are perfect for a 10-hour survival crash. But honestly, after being cooed up in a tiny, sterile airport room, you‘ll probably crave a real Canadian getaway.
