A big THANK YOU to Sheila Potts and Ula SHirt for organizing a great Staff Appreciation Party for all the wonderful staff at The Grill and Leo's on Friday night. Lots of great food and good friendship. Thanks to all the great people who showed up and thank you for the wonderful banner and comments.

A huge thank you for the extraordinary efforts of Pincher Creek Emergency Services, all of their great volunteers, our local RCMP, and our dedicated town staff.
Yesterday a horrible tragedy befell our community.

First let me say my thanks that all staff and hotel guests made it out of the hotel unharmed. For that we give thanks.

Second I want to thank all of the emergency responders for their professional and courageous efforts to battle and then contain the fire. This could have easily been a huge disaster that took out the whole block of adjacent buildings. Pat and his team worked extremely hard to offensively fight this fire, while preparing for the inevitable defensive position they eventually had to take. Amanda your saving of Blue Sky the cow from the balcony truly brought smiles to all, especially my mom who was so happy to know it survived.

Thirdly a HUGE thanks to all my friends and customers who took time to send messages, of love, support and encouragement. You don't really remember what a great little town we live in until disaster strikes and many hands are there to lift you up.

Lastly, a huge thanks to my brave staff (aka adopted family) for spending a very difficult morning with me at The Alberta Hotel, while we kept each other updated on the ongoing demise of the LEGENDARY KING EDWARD HOTEL. In a few days we will know what options the Insurance company will provide and The Grill will rise again. I love you guys and I think daily coffees until we figure this out is order.

And a final thank you to Scott Janke for encouraging me to renovate this beautiful old building and convincing me that 2 men who had never ran a restaurant could bring great food to the community we lived in,
