The Cabin is a wonderful space on our farm in the Alberni Valley, that we use for agri-tourism events and accommodation, and new for 2025, a wedding venue.

Story time!

At our 2024 Gather & Graze event, while enjoying dinner with Robin and Andy form Dog Mountain Brewing a beer collab was born when Farmer Dan mentioned the wild hops we have growing on the farm 🍻

While harvesting the wild hops was definitely a wild climb in the trees, we got our act together this year, and have cables and bale twin ready for the hops to climb for harvest season in the fall!

Robin came up with the tasty 'Field of Creams' farmhouse saison in 2024 (thanks to Farmer Ty for the awesome name!), we're very excited to see what she comes up with for 2026! (What happened to a 2025 batch? The season got away on us and we didn't harvest any hops 😅)

Our longtime herdsman Don had stashed away a Field of Creams for Christmas 2025 though! 🍺

We're hosting our Gather & Graze event this year on August 8th - if you like long table dinners, fantastic local eats, delicious local drinks, a stunning setting, and great company, check out Gather & Graze under the events tab on our website for details and ticket links! www.shannonfarms.ca

Why do we choose to host culinary events? Besides highlighting the local ingredients, it's the people.

Not only do we love mingling with guests during our events, and hosting to bring people together on the farm, but we get to collaborate with some amazing people and businesses in the Valley and West Coast.

So, thank you, to all our new and returning guests, collaborators, producers, fishermen, and all wonderful humans involved for us to make these events happen.
