Nimmo Bay Wilderness Resort is an intimate family owned and operated resort located in the middle of the Great Bear Rainforest in British Columbia. Guests of Nimmo Bay will find themselves exploring the beautiful wilderness either on land, on water, or by flying through the air in a helicopter. Watching, Fishing, Hiking, Glacier Tours, Beach Combing, Heli-Hiking, Heli-Fishing, Whale Watching, Old growth Forest Tours, Cultural Experiences, Kayaking. Guests stay in their own private cabins, feast on fresh coastal cuisine, and relax in the cedar hot tubs while listening to the sounds of the water cascading down from our onsite waterfall. This glorious waterfall supplies Nimmo Bay with not only all of its green power but also with the resort's sweet and delicious drinking water. Nimmo Bay was built in harmony with nature, on top of running on green hydro-power, Nimmo Bay Wilderness Resort has an extensive recycling program and an ecologically sound state of the art sewage treatment system. Nimmo Bay offers couples, families, friends and small groups the opportunity to unplug, relax and slow down to the rhythms of nature. Guests enjoy an active yet peaceful stay in the remote wilderness without having to give up any of the comforts of home.

What makes a wine worthy of a place on our 2026 wine list?

There are two main things that Claire considers; one, is it made thoughtfully, and two, does it spark joy and have the potential to create memorable moments. There are so many wonderful producers that take care to farm in harmony with the land and craft wines with character. The ones that get a spot on the final Nimmo Bay list are expressive and full of vitality, joy, and rooted in a sense of place.

This year's selection brings together throughout producers from British Columbia and around the world, including wines from Summerland, Peachland, the South Okanagan, France and Japan.

The result is a wine list that goes far beyond what's in the glass. It's a collection of stories, places, people and practices worth discovering.

When you're deep in the Great Bear Rainforest, where you eat is just as memorable as what you eat.

Dinner might be shared at Little River, followed by cocktails by the fire. The next day could take you out on the water, where snorkelling, pulling prawns traps, and exploring the coastline lead to a chef-prepared feast at Ocean Table, tucked in one of the most beautiful corners of British Columbia.

Here, every meal is part of the adventure, and every setting lets you experience the Great Bear Rainforest differently.
