You know it's officially summer at Whiteshell Lake Resort when it takes 2 men, a Bobcat, a swimming dock, cement mooring blocks that weigh approximately a million pounds, and enough muscle power to qualify for the olympics, just to get the swimming platform settled for the season.

Justin got the glamourous job of sitting waist deep in the water scrubbing the platform and placing the mooring blocks in the deep part of our swimming area. But the swimming platform is officially in the water and ready for summer fun!

So when you're floating out there with a cold drink, soaking up the sun, just remember: this luxury is thanks to the guys, machinery, teamwork, and a whole lot of muscle (and flatulence).

The Band is called Group Love, and the song is Let Me In.

Got Bivvers. I was walking down by the lake today and noticed that a local beaver had engaged in a little unauthorized shoreline feng shui. This beaver will be forgiven because; 1.) this beaver, like all beavers, has a commendable work ethic 2.) the beaver is the symbol of a proud and noble nation and 3.) beavers happen to be the only rodent I like.
