A Double-crested cormorant (Nannopterum auritum) came for a visit today. Did you know? Cormorants are expert divers that primarily feed on fish, though they also consume amphibians and crustaceans. It is common to see these birds perching on structures like boats or docks with their wings spread out to dry, as their feathers are not fully waterproof.
