KIDZ OUTDOOR SUMMER CAMP IS BACK AT ALEX HOUSE!
Looking for a summer full of adventure, creativity, movement, and hands-on fun? Join Alex House for Kidz Outdoor Camp Days for children ages 6–10 years on select dates in July & August!
Outdoor camps - rain or shine
$30 per day
Children bring their own lunch
Morning & afternoon snacks provided
No before and after care available
We will have 4 main focuses for the summer, Kidz MOVE, Kidz Enviro Play shop, Kids Culinary Cool Cuisine and Kidz Create. All programming will be engaging, interactive and FUN!!
Kidz MOVE: Movement is an important part of children’s (and adults) well-being. During Kids MOVE sessions children and leaders will have the opportunity to learn about movement in various forms. Games, yoga, sports, beach exploration, dancing are just a few ways we may explore throughout the summer.
Kidz Enviro Play Shops: Children will have fun learning and thinking together about caring for our environment, the land, beings, living and more than living and the first peoples on whose land we are situated. All activities will be fun, engaging and provide opportunity for children and leaders to think together, wonder and co-create ideas about being good stewards of the places we are.
Kidz Culinary Cool Cuisine: Children will have an opportunity to learn about the art of cooking and baking will learning about culinary and food safe skills. Learning about food sustainability & food rescue will be incorporated into each session. Each child will have their own recipe book to take home, and the food will be enjoyed by participants. Limited space available for these sessions due to kitchen size and supervision.
Kidz Create: Children will spend time creating and exploring materials together. Paint, clay, drawing, collage, building and sound exploration are a few of what will be available on different Kids Creation Play Shop days throughout the summer. We will also have a ‘Kids Camp Creative Gallery’ during our final Neighbourhood Fun Night in August where we will invite community to see all of what was created.
