It’s hard to find the words to describe what the Grounding Ourselves in Spirit retreat felt like.
Everyone who came created the most beautiful, healing, comforting, loving space for hard conversations and visions of hope that allowed us all to feel seen and heard.
Gerard generously offered his medicine, ceremony, teachings, and laughter that guided and grounded us.
Miranda of gently led us to create the most beautiful pieces of meditative art.
Our caterer Kim fed us with the most nourishing of meals.
The weather was perfect and the birds visited us every morning with their calls (loons, woodpeckers, sandhill cranes, owls, countless songbirds).
It felt like comfort.
New old friends.
Feeling safe.
Being vulnerable.
Ceremony.
Teachings.
Medicine.
The hottest sweat.
The coldest water.
Pine tea.
Making beautiful things.
Heart led chats.
Holding space.
Letting go.
Reconnecting with ourselves.
Hope fluttering in the wind.
Chi-Miigwetch, heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped co-create this space. I’m already looking forward to gathering with you again.
