The Ontario Chamber of Commerce welcomes today's announcement from the federal government which extends the federal fuel excise tax relief on gasoline and diesel.

Affordable and reliable transportation is essential to keeping goods moving, connecting workers to jobs, and supporting businesses across Ontario. Extending this tax relief will help ease cost pressures for businesses and households at a time of continued economic uncertainty and trade-related challenges.

The OCC looks forward to continuing to work with federal government on practical measures that improve affordability, enhance competitiveness, and support long-term economic growth and business confidence.

Celebrate a Small Team Victory Together!
Celebrating small wins together helps teams stay connected, motivated, and engaged. ‌

Whether it’s completing a project milestone, solving a challenge, or achieving a shared goal, recognizing success no matter how small, can boost morale, strengthen relationships, and fosters connection.

It also helps people feel appreciated and encouraged to continue doing their best work. ‌

Practice Unqualified Respect During a Debate!
Respect doesn’t end when opinions differ. ‌

Treating others with courtesy and professionalism, even when you disagree, allows people to share ideas openly, ask questions, and engage in productive discussions without fear of being dismissed or personally attacked. ‌

When we approach disagreement with respect, we create a workplace culture built on trust, inclusion, and constructive dialogue. ‌

SAVE THE DATE!
All Candidates Forum uses a conversational, Q&A format that goes beyond short campaign statements. It is not a traditional political debate.
Guided by a moderator, candidates will explain their priorities, perspectives and approach to municipal leadership, giving residents a better understanding of how they plan to address local issues.

This is a free public event co-hosted by the Tillsonburg Post and the Tillsonburg District Chamber of Commerce to support local civic engagement.

Everyone is welcome to attend, and no registration or Chamber membership is required.

Respond to Emails in a Timely Manner!
By replying to emails thoughtfully and in a timely manner, we help create a workplace culture built on respect, accountability, and trust.

Timely responses show colleagues, clients, and partners that their questions, requests, contributions and time are valued. Even when a full answer isn’t immediately available, acknowledging an email helps manage expectations and keeps work moving forward. ‌

Prompt communications can also reduce uncertainty while preventing unnecessary follow-ups, ensuring people have the information they need to make decisions and complete their work.
