The SoHo Hotel Toronto knows a thing or two about fragrance. With our own proprietary scent created for our newly renovated lobby, we’ve developed a genuine appreciation for fragrances that leave a lasting impression.

Drawing on that passion, we’ve curated five of our favourite signature scents—versatile, mostly unisex fragrances that travel beautifully and can be worn almost anytime, anywhere.

◾ Bois Impérial by .parfums
First on our list is Bois Impérial, a unisex creation by renowned perfumer Quentin Bisch. Fresh, modern and distinctly woody, it’s an effortlessly sophisticated fragrance with a character all its own.

◾ Symphony by
Bright, refined and incredibly versatile, Symphony is a citrus-forward unisex fragrance that works beautifully for almost any occasion. An elevated signature scent that feels equally at home during the day or evening.

◾ Naxos by
From Italian niche fragrance house Xerjoff, Naxos is one we think everyone should experience at least once. Rich and captivating, it leaves behind one of the most intoxicating scent trails.

◾ Reflection Man by
For men, Reflection Man may just be the perfect signature fragrance. Amouage strikes an exceptional balance between sophistication, elegance and character—a timeless scent that feels polished without trying too hard.

◾ Guidance 46 by
Amouage also creates one of our favourite signature fragrances for women. Guidance 46 is elegant, sensual and opulent. If you’re looking for one fragrance to make your signature, we think this is an exceptional place to start.

Five fragrances. Five distinctive personalities. Which one would you choose as your signature scent?

5 Spots to Watch Toronto’s Air Show ✈️ | A Final Season for the Canadian Forces Snowbirds 🇨🇦

Experience the Canadian International Air Show from SoHo Hotel Toronto or explore 5 of our favourite spots to watch the action across the city.

This year’s show carries extra significance: 2026 marks the final flying season for the current Canadian Forces Snowbirds fleet, making this Labour Day weekend a special opportunity to see one of Canada’s most iconic aerial demonstration teams take to the skies. 🇨🇦✈️

The Canadian International Air Show returns to Toronto’s waterfront this Labour Day weekend, September 5–7, 2026, with performances scheduled from 12:00–3:40 PM daily.

Staying at The SoHo Hotel Toronto? You’re perfectly positioned to head toward the waterfront and catch the action. We’ve selected five spots to consider for an afternoon of incredible aircraft, Toronto views, and some of the best vantage points around the downtown waterfront.

✈️ Marilyn Bell Park
📍 1095 Lake Shore Blvd W
This is the main event location and home of the official Exclusive Air Show Zone, positioned directly in front of centre stage.

✈️ Trillium Park
📍 955 Lake Shore Blvd W
A beautiful waterfront setting close to the action with expansive views over Lake Ontario.

✈️ Coronation Park
📍 711 Lake Shore Blvd W
An open waterfront park just east of Ontario Place, offering plenty of space and lake-facing views.

✈️ Stadium Road Park
📍 10 Stadium Rd
A smaller waterfront spot near Billy Bishop Airport with open views across the lake and Toronto skyline.

✈️ HTO Park West
📍 375 Queens Quay W
A convenient Harbourfront option with waterfront views and easy access from downtown.

Make a weekend of it. Stay at The SoHo Hotel Toronto, explore the waterfront, and look up. With 2026 marking the final flying season for the current Snowbirds fleet, this year’s show offers an especially memorable way to close out summer in Toronto. 🇨🇦✈️

At the SoHo Hotel Toronto, our concierge team sees a lot of great bags and luggage. We think these are our top picks;

◾ Louis Vuitton Keepall Bandoulière 55
First on our list is the classic Keepall Bandoulière by Louis Vuitton. Sophisticated and luxurious, the Keepall will never go out of style and is flight-friendly, indestructible and folds flat when empty. The 55 size also holds a full week’s worth of light clothing or at least a heavy 4-day weekend wardrobe.

◾ RIMOWA Original Cabin
The iconic Original Cabin by RIMOWA is an aluminum carry-on that provides a lifetime guarantee and feels virtually weightless when on a smooth surface with its patented multiwheel system. We also love the patented Flex Divider System, which uses an internal adjustable compression system allowing you to pack tightly and secure clothes efficiently.

◾ Carl Friedrik The Carry-on
Maybe the best value carry-on is from Carl Friedrik. It offers a sleeker, leather-accented "quiet luxury" aesthetic at roughly two-thirds the price of Rimowa. While Rimowa is the ubiquitous benchmark for grooved aluminum and high-status travel, Carl Friedrik provides a more refined, mixed-material alternative combining tough polycarbonate or aluminum with luxurious vachetta leather details.

◾ Steamline The Architect
Finally, recently seen in our newly renovated lobby and definitely our concierge’s favourite is Steamline’s The Architect. Inspired by vintage trunks, these cases combine nostalgic design harking back to the golden age of travel with modern functionality. Details such as linen finishes, leather trims and gold hardware give them a distinctive look, while practical features include TSA locks, spinner wheels and removable organizers.

Which of these travel bags would you want to take on your next stay with us in Toronto?

Digital Detox: Unplugging to Connect

Some moments don’t need a schedule.

A quiet swim, a few pages of a good book, and nowhere else you need to be. At SoHo Hotel Toronto, slowing down is part of the stay.

Our pool is saltwater, offering a floating experience without the usual harsh chemicals. Drop in for a refreshing swim before or after a long day, or unwind in the steam room and permit yourself to simply switch off.

Sometimes, the best kind of indulgence is having time to yourself.

The SoHo Hotel Toronto has put together a list of our favourite travel watches. We believe that if watches were simply functional, everyone would wear an Apple Watch. But quiet luxury is about style and class without being ostentatious, and if it helps to tell the time in two places, then that’s a bonus.

◾ Rolex Oyster Perpetual Sky-Dweller
Reference 336938
42 mm | 18 ct yellow gold | Intense white dial | Jubilee bracelet

First on our list is the Sky-Dweller by Rolex, designed for those continually travelling the globe. It simultaneously indicates two time zones, as well as the date and month. We would be looking for yellow gold with a Jubilee bracelet, combined with the intense white dial, which we think is simply a timeless classic.

◾ Vacheron Constantin Overseas Dual Time
Reference 7920V/210A-B334
41 mm | Stainless steel | Blue lacquered dial | Stainless steel bracelet

Second on our list is the Overseas by Vacheron Constantin. We like the fact that this watch comes with a unique quick-change strap system, giving owners the option of three easily interchangeable straps — steel, leather, and rubber — essentially offering three watches in one. The stainless-steel model with the iconic lacquered blue dial would be our favourite configuration.

◾ Patek Philippe Nautilus Travel Time Chronograph
Reference 5990/1R-001
40.5 mm | Rose gold | Blue sunburst dial | Rose gold bracelet

The Nautilus 5990/1R-001 model offers a self-winding flyback chronograph, a second time-zone display, and a date hand coupled with local time. We think the rose gold with a blue sunburst dial may be the quintessential model. Unfortunately, it may also be one of the world’s rarest luxury travel watches.

◾ Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Double Balance Wheel Openworked
Reference 15407ST.OO.1220ST.02
41 mm | Stainless steel | Openworked movement | Stainless steel bracelet

Completing the Holy Trinity for collectors would be the Royal Oak by Audemars Piguet. We especially like the Jumbo Extra-Thin Openworked model in titanium with BMG accents, featuring a refined monochromatic design enhanced by a complete and captivating view of the inner movement. This may not be a travel watch per se like the others, but it is the ultimate in quiet luxury.

Tell us…which of these watches is your favourite?
