Wildfire preparedness at Predator Ridge didn’t start this season, and it doesn’t stop when the season ends. If you are interested in learning how we prepare and protect our residents, our Senior Vice President of Wesbild Okanagan, Jonathan Reid, wrote all about it in Daily Hive.

All our efforts over the years have set a new standard for how communities in wildfire affected areas prepare, protect and respond. That includes monitoring of our property by more than 100 SenseNet sensors and cameras, the on-site Vernon Fire Rescue Services Fire Station #3, and a new sprinkler line that runs along the Ellison Provincial Park boundary without power, among other services.

Thank you to Vernon Fire Rescue Services, SenseNet, our team at Predator Ridge and Wesbild and the residents who make this a shared priority every year. Planning ahead means residents and neighbours can feel confident that, if something does happen, our community is ready to respond.
