Planning a trip to Roosevelt Campobello International Park? Here are two of our most frequently asked questions as we head into the latter half of summer:
📍Do I need a passport to visit Campobello Island?:
- Yes, if you are travelling to Campobello Island by road through Lubec, Maine, you will need to cross the Canada-US international border. Visitors should be prepared with the appropriate travel documents. 🇱🇷 🇨🇦 If travelling from within Canada and taking the East Coast Ferries, no particular travel documents are needed.
🗓 When does the Park close for the season?:
- Roosevelt Campobello International Park’s historic buildings and Visitor Centre remain open daily through the Saturday following Indigenous Peoples Day(Columbus Day)/Canadian Thanksgiving in October. This year, closing falls on Saturday, October 17th.
The Park’s natural area remains open year-round, from daylight to dusk.
There is still plenty of summer - and fall - left to enjoy on Campobello. ✨☀️🍂
