Hollyburn Heritage Society The HHS page provides an opportunity for people to share photos, videos and stories about Hollyburn Mountain/Cypress Mountain past & present.

Since its formation in 1998, the core mandate of the Hollyburn Heritage Society has been to (1) collect and share the history of Vancouver’s North Shore mountains and (2) restore Hollyburn Lodge for future generations to enjoy.

Once again Hollyburn Heritage Society will be at the West Vancouver Community Cultural Fest at Ambleside Park this coming Friday June 5, 4 - 9 pm and Saturday June 6, 11 am - 7 pm. Drop by and check us out. We will have a few items for sale including some coffee mugs. Photo of our booth from last year.

Celebration of 100 years of Hollyburn Lodge kicked off last weekend with a party hosted at the Lodge by the Hollyburn Ridge Association. In the summer of 1926, Rudolph Jules Verne hired Oscar Pearson and Swedish cousins Ole Anderson and Anders Israel to dismantle the ski camp at the abandoned Nasmyth Mill site on Hollyburn Ridge and use the salvageable materials to build a new ski camp at First Lake. The Hollyburn Ski Camp and Lodge officially opened its doors on January 16, 1927. Stay tuned for more celebration events through this year and into next year.
