Pack some water, lace up your hiking boots and trade the Village stroll for a day on the trails. From forest paths and alpine scenery to those stop-every-five-minutes-for-a-photo kind of views, hiking is one of our favourite ways to see a different side of Whistler. 🏔️🌲

And after a day of exploring? Head back to Crystal Lodge in the centre of the Village, kick off the hiking boots and give those legs a very well-earned rest.

We’re not ready to say goodbye to summer just yet. ☀️💦

There are still a few cannonballs to jump, pool days to enjoy, and sunny Whistler moments to squeeze in before we trade swimsuits for ski gear. 🎿

Summer may be winding down, but there’s still time for one more Whistler adventure. ☀️🚲

We took on all 5 Whistler lakes in one day, connecting them by bike via the Valley Trail — with a few very necessary lake jumps along the way. 💦

Alpha Lake → Nita Lake → Alta Lake → Green Lake → Lost Lake

By the time we rolled back into the Village, we had 27 km behind us and one thing on our minds: food.

Because every good ride needs a finish line — ours was at The Beacon Pub & Eatery. 🍻

One unforgettable ride from Sea to Sky. 🚴‍♀️🏔️

On Saturday, September 12, 2026, the RBC GranFondo Whistler will bring around 5,000 cyclists along the spectacular 122-kilometre route from Vancouver to Whistler. Riders can look forward to a full weekend of cycling celebrations, from the VeloSpoke Expo and package pickup on Friday to the finish-line festivities in Whistler and Sunday Slowdown.

Travelling that day? Please plan ahead. Highway 99 will remain open in both directions, but significant delays are expected between Vancouver and Whistler from approximately 5:30 AM–4:30 PM, with reduced speeds and intermittent traffic control along the route. Guests with flights, ferries, or other time-sensitive plans should leave plenty of extra time.

Five days, 80+ craft pours, and one very good reason to stay within strolling distance. 🍻

The Whistler Village Beer Festival returns September 16–20, 2026, with brewery tastings, craft beer events, après parties, and plenty of mountain-town fun. The Main Event takes over Whistler Olympic Plaza on Saturday, September 19, bringing together beer, cider, seltzers, live music, lawn games, food trucks, and a whole lot of cheers.

Crystal Lodge makes a pretty great hub for the suds, with the festival just a short walk away and your room waiting when the tasting is done.
