As another camping season comes to a close, we’d like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who visited MacKinnon’s Campground this year. Whether you stayed for the season, spent a weekend with us, stopped by for an ice cream, enjoyed a cup of coffee in our Tea Room, attended one of our events, or simply dropped in to take in the beauty of Lake Ainslie, thank you for being part of our 2026 season.

Your support means the world to our family and helps make MacKinnon’s Campground such a special place. We wish you a safe and wonderful winter, and we look forward to welcoming you back next spring.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out and made our 19th Annual Show ’n Shine on Saturday such a fantastic day!

We’d like to thank all of the incredible car owners and enthusiasts who proudly displayed their vehicles, our vendors, and the team from STAND & STUFF YOUR FACE for keeping everyone well fed throughout the event. Your support is what makes this event such a success year after year.

A special thank you as well to Steve Lawrence for capturing the day. Check out his YouTube highlight video below so everyone can relive another great Show ’n Shine.

Tomorrow we head to MacKinnon's Campground
Last time we were bringing Chinese Combo Plates but the weather cancelled that idea.
So tomorrow we are bringing the Chinese Combo Plates- $25 get you Ginger Beef with noodles, 2 Egg Rolls, Chicken Fried Rice and Honey Garlic Wings.
We will be at up by 11am

Join us THIS SATURDAY for the 19th Annual Show ’n Shine at MacKinnon’s Campground from 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM!

🛍️ Lots of local vendors and our flea market
🎨 Caricature artist Ron Evely will be on site creating fun custom drawings

🍦 We still have ice cream in stock, so stop by for a sweet treat!

Admission is FREE, so bring your family, invite your friends, and spend the afternoon enjoying a beautiful Cape Breton fall day.

Be part of something bigger than ourselves as we come together for the 2026 Terry Fox Run in support of the Terry Fox Foundation.

On Sundday, September 20, our campground community, family, friends, and neighbours are invited to walk or run together while honouring Terry Fox’s incredible legacy and helping fund life-changing cancer research.

🍽️ Following the walk, everyone is invited to stay for a community potluck supper! Bring your favourite dish to share and enjoy an evening of great food, friendship, and community spirit.

🎆 What a way to light up the night! 🎆

Thank you to everyone who joined us for last night’s fireworks display. It was a wonderful way to bring everyone together, and we hope you enjoyed the show as much as we did!

We’d also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported our fireworks fundraising efforts throughout the summer. We truly appreciate every contribution.
