Martock’s Mountain Coaster - Porcupine Express 🦔
Ever wondered how the Porcupine Express got its name?
When we first explored the forest where the new mountain coaster is taking shape, one of the first locals we met was a porcupine. The encounter inspired the name Porcupine Express.
It turns out our porcupine neighbours are still keeping an eye on things, with occasional visits to check on construction.
🌲 As for the design, we wanted to bring a little piece of the forest into the ride itself.
Inspired by Nova Scotia’s beautiful Acadian forests, we incorporated the shapes and silhouettes of local wildlife and trees throughout the design. From maple and birch to towering spruce, fir and pine, it’s all about celebrating the nature surrounding Martock.
Even the lettering takes inspiration from movement and speed, with elongated shapes and a little nod to those iconic porcupine quills.
And that’s how the Porcupine Express came to life. Coming soon to Martock!
