Our bridge over the Weisse Lütschine river got renewed with a wooden shingle roof the last month and we were able to open it again recently.
ℹ️ Roofs and facades made of wooden shingles are part of Switzerland's architectural heritage. There is no formal training for this ancient craft – the knowledge is passed down orally from generation to generation. Due to the split fiber structure, the wood is particularly weather-resistant and a wooden shingle roof can last from 30 to 50 years and often even longer.
