❄️ L’hiver approche, et avec lui cette envie de retrouver la montagne Crans Montana … 🇨🇭

J’ai grandi ici et pourtant je ne me lasse jamais de la beauté de notre région. Chaque saison a son charme, mais l’hiver apporte quelque chose de particulier : cette lumière sur les sommets, le calme des paysages enneigés, le bonheur des moments simples.

C’est un peu de cet amour pour ma région que j’ai voulu partager avec vous dans mon nouveau guide de voyage consacré à Crans-Montana. Mes découvertes, mes coups de cœur et quelques conseils pour vous sentir, vous aussi, un peu chez vous en Valais.

The hamlet of Diogne: where slow tourism meets local flavors and regional specialties.


Nestled at an altitude of 1,000 metres, between Sierre and the resort of Crans-Montana, the hamlet of Diogne enjoys a rare balance between valley and mountains, on the edge of the vineyards. Perched on the sunny hillside, life here unfolds at a gentle pace, in a peaceful atmosphere, blessed with a mild climate and ever-changing light that beautifully reflects the rhythm of the seasons.

Genuine Encounters and Local Collaborations.
In the surrounding area, a handful of restaurants, local artisans and advocates of sustainable, slow tourism contribute to a warm and welcoming atmosphere, shaped by genuine encounters and local collaborations. Nothing is ostentatious; everything is authentic, meaningful and deeply rooted in the region.

It is also a place steeped in history
The earliest traces of the hamlet of Diogne date back more than 700 years — as far back as Switzerland itself. Every stone, every winding path tells a story of Alpine heritage. The hamlet’s chapel, modest yet precious, stands as a silent witness to a past marked by hardship, particularly in the early 20th century, when the Spanish flu devastated the local community, leaving only one family to survive.

Today, Diogne is a small village of around one hundred inhabitants, living in harmony with its natural surroundings. An endless network of trails stretches out from the hamlet in every direction, winding through forests, vineyards and mountain ridges. Here, hikers and cyclists naturally find their way, especially in times when the world feels the need to slow down, rediscovering the simple pleasures of open spaces, tranquillity and silence.
