In Chiloé, wood has historically been a form of shelter. It has shaped houses, churches, boats, and spaces capable of withstanding the rain, wind, and winters of the archipelago. But it also holds something more: warmth, memory, craftsmanship, and a deep relationship with the forest.
In Rilán, wood creates the feeling of being protected while remaining connected to the landscape. It is present in the walls, the floors, the scent, and the temperature of each space. A shelter made from the same material as its surroundings.
En Chiloé, la madera ha sido históricamente una forma de refugio. Ha construido casas, iglesias, embarcaciones y espacios capaces de resistir la lluvia, el viento y los inviernos del archipiélago. Pero también contiene algo más: calor, memoria, oficio y una relación profunda con el bosque.
En Rilán, la madera crea esa sensación de estar protegido sin dejar de pertenecer al paisaje. Está en los muros, en los pisos, en el aroma y en la temperatura de cada espacio. Un refugio construido con la misma materia que lo rodea.
