Everyone starts somewhere, and most of the time it looks exactly like this.

It’s not one big moment that makes the day, it’s a few things stacked together that somehow just work.
You’re up early, learning how to pop-up on the board before heading out to surf with
On the way back you look up and realize there are monkeys moving through the trees above you, and by the time the light starts to change you’re walking back through the mangrove not really ready for it to end yet.

Some parts you plan, some just happen, but together they make the kind of day people come here for.
It’s active, a little unpredictable, and a lot better when you stay close to all of it.

It’s strange how something this simple can hold your attention for so long.
You’re standing there taking it in and not thinking about anything else you should be doing. No rush to leave and no need to check anything, just being present while the colors of the sky slowly changes.
It’s a small part of the day but usually the one that people remember the most. 🧡

Somehow this ends up being the spot everyone circles back to. Not the beach, not the town, but here.
Rooftop, pool, a few hours that turn into the whole afternoon and then it’s time to walk down to the sunset.
