Buddha has found his Ithaka ❤️

A beautiful and thoughtful gift from our current guests, first-time visitors who somehow understood exactly what Ithaki House is about.

I asked them to place Buddha wherever they felt he belonged in the house, and he has already found his perfect spot 😊

They later sent me a photo of where they placed him, along with these words:

“Ithaki is healing my soul. The peace, tranquillity and your personal touches have warmed my heart.”

Reading this stayed with me. Because it quietly reflects what Ithaki House is meant to offer.

It may not be where we — or our guests — spend most of our time, and yet I’ve always had a soft spot for this quiet corner beneath the lemon tree, in our front, small house entrance.

Every space in a home deserves attention, and our little front courtyard is no exception. The mosaic tabletop is one of my own creations, made piece by piece, and it remains one of the details I am most proud of here.

A peaceful corner, offering a gentle welcome home each time you arrive at Ithaki. 🍋✨

I am almost ashamed to admit that I still haven't visited this museum, but it is definitely high on my priority list! Its location right at Latsi harbour means I really have no excuses left. 😊 I just need to find a few extra hours the next time I'm at Ithaki!

Another busy same-day changeover today... one holiday ends and another begins. 😊

This morning we waved goodbye to our lovely guests who left us such a beautiful note in our guest book 🙏. I am always so grateful to read these messages and often find myself going back to them long after our guests have left. ❤️

By the afternoon, the house was ready once again to welcome new guests. Fresh sheets, a sparkling pool, a stocked welcome basket, and everything prepared for the start of another holiday.

Wishing our new guests a fantastic stay filled with sunshine, relaxation and happy moments. ☀️🏡❤️
