We are pleased to reveal our special guest.
Meet Roger van Damme, one of Europe’s most innovative pastry chefs.
Born in Sluis, the Netherlands, Roger has spent his career training at the renowned Richemont School in Switzerland and Bellouet Conseil in Paris, before going on to work in the legendary kitchen of elBulli, where he was invited to stage on several occasions.
For more than two decades, he shaped the Belgian fine-dining scene with his former restaurant “Het Gebaar” in Antwerp and was named “Chef of the Year” by Gault&Millau in 2009.
His passion for pastry has taken him far beyond the restaurant kitchen: from the acclaimed afternoon tea concept at Botanic Sanctuary Antwerp to international guest appearances and the Tomorrowland Culinary Team, and now to his newly founded Académie Roger van Damme in Schoten.
And now, his next chapter is taking him to Berlin.
Together with Christian Hirt, whom he met during his time at Botanic Sanctuary Antwerp, Roger is bringing his distinctive vision of pastry to a very special Berlin pop-up.
We are delighted to welcome Roger van Damme to Hotel Adlon Kempinski Berlin on 19 and 20 September 2026.
