In celebration of the 20th Anniversary of Big Iron World, Acony Records and the band are releasing this album on vinyl for the first time. The album features some of OCMS’s more enduring songs such as Down Home Girl, My Good Gal, James River Blues and I Hear Them All. The album was originally produced by David Rawlings who has also remastered this record for vinyl.

Released in July 1963, Impressions captures John Coltrane at a moment of fearless transformation — a snapshot of an artist pushing beyond convention and into the outer reaches of jazz expression. Drawn from sessions recorded between 1961 and 1963, the album is less a traditional studio effort than a vivid document of Coltrane's restless creative ascent.

From the hypnotic modal excursions of the title track to the tender lyricism of ballads like "Soul Eyes," Coltrane moves effortlessly between intensity and introspection. His playing is probing and expansive, marked by sheets of cascading notes, searching phrases, and a tone that seems to reach for something beyond the audible.

Critics and listeners alike have long celebrated Impressions for its adventurous spirit and technical brilliance. More than that, it stands as a crucial waypoint in Coltrane's artistic journey.

Phoebe Bridgers er tilbage med nyt album – Lost Weekend ude d. 14/8.

Lost Weekend er Phoebe Bridgers’ første album siden hendes Grammy-nominerede andet album, Punisher, som blev udgivet på højden af Covid-19-pandemien.

Da hendes anmelderroste debutalbum Stranger in the Alps udkom omkring en måned efter hendes 23-års fødselsdag, blev der talt meget om hendes usædvanligt modne sangskrivertalent.
Punisher blev nærmest universelt rost som beviset på, at hun havde indfriet sit enorme potentiale – et intelligent, dragende, velovervejet og samtidig spændende album fra en artist, hvis ekstraordinære evner som sangskriver nu blev matchet af et sammenspillet liveband og et mere nuanceret og modigt lydbillede.

Men lyttere, der sætter Lost Weekend på, kan forvente et album, der viser nye sider af Bridgers som sangskriver. Hun befinder sig på toppen af sit kunstneriske niveau og forfiner mange af de temaer og musikalske greb, der tidligere har kendetegnet hendes arbejde, samtidig med at albummet byder på flere spændende overraskelser undervejs.
