As we wait for the arrival of our second boy and soon step into this next chapter with two little ones under two, we’ve also been thinking a lot about what we want the next chapter of Stoksholmene13 to look like.

Running a small B&B is wonderful — but we’ve realised we want people to experience Stoksholmene13, not just sleep here.

So we’ve decided to take a pause from regular B&B stays for at least the next year.

We’re shifting the focus to retreats, smaller gatherings and private events — for people who want to rent the place and make it their own for a little while.

We’re really excited to give the place the time and attention it deserves, and to create something that feels more intentional for us, our family and the people who come here.

Less “just a bed for the night”.

More time together.
More memories.
More nature.
More of what makes this place special ♥️

Thank you for being part of our journey so far. We’re so grateful for everyone who has stayed with us, supported us and followed along.

We look forward to seeing what this next chapter brings 🌿

Summer has arrived in our little green sanctuary 🌿✨
Days are slower, the garden is fuller, and every corner is alive with birdsong, wildflowers, and quiet moments.
A season of growth, warmth, and connection with nature 🤍

A little bit of rain, a little bit of sunshine… 🌦️ The changing weather has definitely slowed down some of our outdoor projects lately, but the reward is a garden that’s looking incredibly green and lush. And with 70 new rhododendrons to care for, we’re very grateful for all the natural watering 🙌🏼

The entrance to Stoksholmene13 is starting to take shape ☀️ A lot can happen in a year. A massive amount of torn hedges were removed to prevent spending hours upon hours every year to cut them. Instead we planted 70 rhododendrons as an evergreen flowering hedge welcoming you in spring with white flowers, beautiful cherry trees and even more to come 🤍

The mini shelters are sitting pretty under the blooming trees. Now to add a few lights, pillows and blankets and get cozy by the fireplace - real Danish hygge! ✨

To say we’ve been a bit busy is an understatement 😅
1. We removed a big patch of trees where the old snail farm was. Some were leaning towards to orangery so they had to go sadly. It was a lot of work!! First cutting the trees. Then chopping them up to move them. 10 trailer loads of wood to make into firewood later on. Then the removal of all the massive roots.
2. Had both houses painted white again 🙌🏼 You can definitely see a difference and everything feels clean and fresh again.
3. Building the terrace extension and transition from one to the other.
4. Rebuilding our road after all the snow this winter.

And there’s a lot more. The kitchen garden, our new cherry trees, 50 rhododendrons to grow into a hedge, new stones for the road and parking lot, shelters painted, leveling a big part of the garden… Much more to come. Making even more special for everyone we welcome here 🌱💫🤍
