- Alisson Celi, our Operations Manager, whose journey has taken her from Guayaquil to Loja, Toronto, and finally to Puerto Ayora, which she has called home for the past year. Although she has been part of Pikaia for just one year, it already feels like she has been part of the team for much longer. As Operations Manager, Alisson connects people and departments, coordinating the many details behind the scenes to make sure everything flows seamlessly.
Outside Pikaia, she is embracing island life through beach days, swimming, Pilates, exploring Puerto Ayora, studying for her Master’s in Business Management, and planning her wedding.
Her favorite spot at Pikaia is the jacuzzi at SUMAQ Spa, where the views, breeze, silence, and surrounding pit craters make it the perfect place to pause. Her favorite experience, however, is joining our navigations and experiencing the adventures alongside our guests. She loves sea lions, but has also become fascinated by the huacos, the local name for white crowned night herons. One regular visitor near her home even has a name: Jerry.
For Alisson, living and working in the Galápagos is a privilege that never loses its magic. She loves the cool, cloudy days in the highlands, and so far, Sombrero Chino is her favorite island. Her journey is a reminder that sometimes, the best adventures are the ones that lead you somewhere you never expected to call home.
