Alexandria doesn't get nearly enough credit. Most people bolt it onto a Cairo trip and see one or two things before heading back, when honestly it deserves a few days on its own.

We wrote up the attractions actually worth your time: the Bibliotheca, the catacombs at Kom El Shoqafa, Qaitbay Citadel, the Corniche at every hour of the day, and (obviously) where to eat the seafood.
