ترام إسكندرية مكانش مجرد مواصلة. كان صوت الصبح، وشباك بنبص منه على الدنيا وناس بنقابلها كل واحد ليه حكاية
حكايات الترام بدأت من 1863.
و السنة دي بنقول له شكراً، على كل رحلة وكل ذكرى
شكراً على أكتر من 160 سنة من الحكايات 💛

In Alexandria, some things change and some stay inside us. The tram is one of them.
How many times did you ride it to work? How many times on the way home? Too many to count. The Alexandria tram was part of our daily lives, and it's leaving quietly now. Goodbye, old friend. 💙

A piece of Egypt's history just came home. 🇪🇬

A funerary mask dating back to the Ptolemaic period, over 2,000 years old, was seized by Swiss customs in 2022 and has now been officially returned to Egypt.

The handover took place this week in Bern, and it's part of an ongoing partnership between Egypt and Switzerland that has brought back nearly 80 cultural artifacts since 2011.

Every returned piece is a reminder that history belongs where it came from.
