Why is there an Agatha Christie staircase in Tenerife?

During her visit to the Canary Islands in 1927, after her divorce, Agatha Christie found inspiration in this picturesque setting, resulting in stories such as "The Man from the Sea" and "The Mystery of the Blue Train."

🇬🇧The Holy Week has started and Spain is celebrating it with their traditional processions. In this video sent by Ms Iza you can see women wearing mantillas, dressed in black (which symbolizes mourning the death of Christ). A mantilla is a lace shawl worn on the head, stiffened with a comb (peineta)

🇵🇱 Rozpoczął się Wielki Tydzień i Hiszpania świętuje go tradycyjnymi procesjami. Na filmie przesłanym przez panią Izę widać kobiety noszące mantylki, ubrane na czarno (co symbolizuje żałobę po śmierci Chrystusa). Mantylka to koronkowa chusta noszona na głowie, usztywniona grzebieniem (peineta)

🇪🇸 La Semana Santa ha comenzado y España la celebra con sus tradicionales
procesiones. En este vídeo enviado por la Sra. Iza se puede ver a mujeres con mantilla, vestidas de negro (que simboliza el luto por la muerte de Cristo). La mantilla es un manto de encaje que se lleva en la cabeza, sujeto con una peineta.
