Carsten Höller doesn’t create objects to be observed, but situations to be experienced. His work moves between art and experiment, inviting the viewer to question perception, behaviour and control. From immersive installations to surreal environments, he turns space into something unstable, almost playful.

Mushrooms, a recurring element in his universe, reflect this fascination with altered states and parallel realities. In Höller’s world, nothing is fixed.
