🫏✨ The next chapter in our Sanctuary for the Soul ✨🫏

When we first arrived at Finca la Vida, we were drawn by the peace of this extraordinary place. Surrounded by mountains, with sweeping views across the countryside to the Mediterranean Sea, we knew it had the potential to become something special.

Our dream has always been to create a sanctuary—a place where people can slow down, reconnect with nature, find stillness, and experience the healing power of simply being present.

For many months now, we have been working towards the adoption of two rescue donkeys, Sedna and Freya, a beautiful mother and daughter pair. The journey has involved patience, paperwork, permissions, planning and preparation, and we are now incredibly close to welcoming them home.

This video shows some of the work that has gone into preparing their new space. Every step has been taken with love and with a vision for what Finca la Vida is becoming.

Donkeys are often known as gentle teachers. Their calm presence, quiet wisdom and grounding energy encourage us to slow down and appreciate life’s simpler rhythms. It feels fitting that Sedna and Freya will soon become part of this landscape and part of the ongoing story of Finca la Vida.

Alongside the mountains, the sea views, the ancient olive and almond trees, and the peaceful energy of this land, they will help shape the sanctuary we continue to create—not only for animals in need of safety, care and a place to belong, but also for guests seeking rest, reflection, connection and renewal.

After a long journey of dreaming, planning and preparing, we are almost there.

Jalat’s review: The place was excellent – clean, modern and very comfortably furnished. The friendly hosts and the peaceful atmosphere were particularly impressive. Everything was perfectly organised, and we felt at home straight away. Accommodation that I would recommend without hesitation.
