🥰 Late October in Girona. Chestnuts roasting on the corner, giants dancing through the old town, and the lights of the Onyar houses on the water at dusk.

From 23 October to 1 November, the city celebrates the Fires de Sant Narcís. There’s a funfair in La Devesa for the children, local food at every turn, and music drifting through the narrow streets.

👉🏻 It’s just 30 minutes from our houses, so you can spend a day at the fair and be back on the coast in time for dinner. A few houses are still free in late October.

The season is over, the suitcases are unpacked, and your house on the Costa Brava is sitting quietly in the autumn sun.

Quiet is lovely. Until a storm loosens a shutter, the mailbox overflows, or damp settles in behind closed windows.

So we drop by, regularly. We check doors, windows and shutters, empty the post, look after the pool and garden, air the rooms and keep an eye out for damp. We hold a set of keys, so we’re in and out without fuss.

You enjoy being home. We’ll take care of the rest.

Three wet days on the forecast this week. Nobody cancels.

Rain on the Costa Brava is a morning, not a week, and the morning is the best part. Girona’s old town is arcaded end to end, so you can walk the whole thing dry. The Teatre-Museu in Figueres eats two hours and gets argued about all the way home. Palamós lands its prawns whatever the sky is doing. La Bisbal’s ceramic street is indoors by definition. And the Empordà cellars pour better when it’s grey outside.

By five the terrace is dry again and the pool is still warm.

Wake up to pine and saltwater, ten minutes from the harbour.

Six summers, six families, six villas along the Costa Brava — and the same thing said six different ways: it felt like coming home.

Three doors still open this September.

A penthouse above Sant Feliu with 128 m² of terrace and the whole bay in front of it. Magnòlia in Santa Cristina, quiet, new, sea in the distance. Mas Ros in Platja d’Aro, private pool, room for eight.

The water is still warm, the terraces are still yours, and the coast has gone quiet again. This is the Costa Brava we keep for ourselves.
