It has been a few years since the incredible urban artist Bosska completely transformed the entrance to our neighborhood on Calle Orquídeas with her massive 400-square-meter masterpiece, "Mallo en Suel."

This vibrant landmark under the commuter train bridge serves as a brilliant daily reminder of our regional history and creative spirit. At its center stands the iconic Venus de Fuengirola, beautifully paired with colorful, surrealist-inspired portraits that honor the legendary artist Maruja Mallo.

It has truly become a staple of Torreblanca's local identity and a bright spot on Fuengirola's growing street art routes.

Our friends at **Bombay Sapphire Dolphin Cruise** offer such a fantastic experience out on the Mediterranean — whether you’re coming along on your own, bringing the family, or getting a group of friends together.

And honestly… **sunset from the sea is something else!** 🌅🥂

Imagine a glass of bubbles in your hand, the sea air in your hair, dolphins in the distance and the sun setting over Fuengirola. 🐬✨

They also do **private charters**, which would be amazing for birthdays, celebrations, hen & stag parties, anniversaries or just getting a group of friends together for a few hours on the water. ⛵🎉

.🐾 Louis the Frenchie’s Torreblanca Botanical Tour: The Big Roundup! 🐾

If you’ve been following our daily walks, you know Louis has basically become Torreblanca’s head code-enforcement officer for local flora.

We’ve spotted everything from fiery Phoenix Nasturtiums and alien-looking Aloe Vera torches to diva-level Yellow Hibiscus, shape-shifting Morning Glories, and that velcro-sticky Plumbago that Louis tried to wear home as an accessory. 🌺🌵🩵

Honestly, I have about fifty more photos of local plants cloggin up my camera roll, but I won’t subject you to a full encyclopedia.

Instead, here is a general breakdown of what Louis has taught me about Mediterranean gardening

1️⃣ If it's pretty, it's probably a trap. The brightest flowers usually have the stickiest pods or are guarded by sharp aloe spikes. Louis learned this the hard way.
2️⃣ The Costa del Sol doesn't do "subtle." Everything growing over the villa walls here behaves like an overachiever. If a vine can climb a telephone pole, it will.
3️⃣ Frenchies have zero appreciation for landscape design. Louis’s official rating for the entire botanical kingdom remains a consistent "0 out of 5 stars" because nothing smells like jamón or cheese. 🧀❌

Next time you're out walking around the neighborhood, take a look over the garden walls—just keep your eyes peeled for the spikes, the sticky bits, and one very judgmental French bulldog sniffing the weeds. 🐕🕵️‍♂️
