Fireworks over Jávea Port | Tuesday 8 September

Tuesday sees the Día de la Mare de Déu de Loreto, the main day of the annual fiestas in Duanes de la Mar, celebrating the patron saint of Jávea’s fishing and seafaring community.

The festivities come to a spectacular close with the traditional aquatic fireworks display over the bay at 00:30.

Something pretty spectacular is happening in our skies.

On 12 August, more than 99% of the sun will be covered as the solar eclipse reaches its maximum at around 20:34.

And once the sun sets… look up. The Perseid meteor shower is also at its peak.
