Round and around and around we go for the 23rd time this week at Pikes, but we can assure you – no matter how many times we do it, no two weeks (or nights for that matter) are ever the same.

We’ll never tell what happens on Mondays, and you’ll never know if you never go, so… come play with us! If your feet have the urge to shuffle on Tuesday, our Bathtub Club is ready for you, but if you’ve got your disco boots on and really want to strut, head over to 528 Ibiza where Pikes Presents Love.House.Disco at 528 Ibiza with Groove Armada (DJ set) back (where they belong!) on the Garden Stage alongside TEED and Prosumer and Bushwacka! in the Club.

On Wednesday, we hand the reins of Freddies over to our pals from Disco Disco, who never tell us who they’re bringing along as a special guest, and who never ever ever disappoint when they finally reveal their identity on the night! Then on Thursday, the juggernaut that is Back To Mine bring the voice of house music, Becky Hill, but this time she’ll be spinning her favourite tunes.

Pikes Sessions on Friday night sees the return of two house faves – Ivan Smagghe and Chaos in the CBD – while Saturday night’s Pikes House Party sees us welcome back another great friend, Sarah Story! Meanwhile, down the road and up the hill at 528, it’s another Saturday special edition of Pikes Presents with Kruder & Dorfmeister, Giles Peterson with MC Rob Galliano on the Garden Stage and George Fitzgerald in the Club.

Sundays are all about stamina and this week, we’re teaming up with London-based label Semi Delicious for a day-to-night extravaganza that starts by the pool and culminates with the boss, Demi Riquísimo, in Freddies alongside Michelle Manetti and Jive Talk. And then wouldn’t you know it, it’s another phone-free, secret line-up of a Monday, where mischief, music and magic reign supreme but that’s all we’ve got to say on the matter!

While the show’s certainly not over just yet at 528 Ibiza today, we have a bombshell announcement that just can’t wait for the team to get back to Pikes HQ! Fresh off the back of an absolutely-next-level B2B2B with Luke Una at Pikes Presents today (our special Saturday edition), we’ve invited both Hunee and Erol Alkan both join us for Sundays at Pikes tomorrow, which means there’s still time to get your name on the list if you either:

A. Missed out on today’s gig and have been sitting at home regretting it
or
B. Loved today’s sets so much you simply must have more!

No strangers to the decks in Freddies, Hunee first span for us w-a-a-y back in 2018 and the Korean-by-way-of-Berlin-and-Amsterdam DJ and producer knew exactly how to whip that hot and sweaty little room into a frenzy with his house, funk and soul-infused beats back then, and we’re sure he’s got grand plans to do it all over again, especially after today – bring it on!

Meanwhile, London-based Erol made his Pikes debut only very recently – to much fanfare, from everyone in the crowd and all the team behind the scenes – and tomorrow sees the DJ, producer, artist, remixer, radio host and Phantasy label head honcho (he’s a busy lad, isn’t he?) jump behind our poolside decks for some more alfresco action. Known for packing plenty of fresh musical cuts and then absorbing the energy of a room to calculate exactly to splice it all together, we can’t wait to hear what he has in store for us once he’s soaked up all that fun and sunshine by our famous pool.

It’s been a while since we’ve given a refresher on the Rules of the House and with what’s looking to be a very, very busy September lined up ahead of us, we thought now might be the time. So, whether you’re a first-timer or it’s your 500th visit, please be sure to commit these rules to memory (and heart!) to help us keep Pikes magical.

Above all, we implore you - nay, we beg you! – to have registered your name on our guestlist or have pre-ordered your Night Slice tickets before you even think about calling a cab to deliver yourself to our doorstep. Why? Because we can't accept walk-ins, we don’t sell tickets on the door and (and this bit’s important), our staff most definitely can’t be bribed!

We should also note that it’s almost inevitable that our guestlists do fill up every night in September, and once they’re full, that’s it – we can’t squeeze another body through the door, so it’s best to plan ahead because we don’t like the idea of your sad little faces when you miss out on your favourite parties or artists.

The September breeze blows different!

What’s that we smell by the pool? Why, yes it is sunscreen. And freshly brewed coffee (it is early, after all). And the tasty wafts of breakfast floating down from the terrace. But no… that’s not quite what we’re looking for. It’s the sweet smell of September; that slightly crisper, fresher type air that reminds us – summer is far from over, but we have turned that last corner towards the end. Who’s with us this month?

It’s just five days away from what would have been Freddie Mercury’s 80th birthday. EIGHTY YEARS OLD! Can you imagine? Oh yes we can – propped up at the Pikes bar, regaling us with wild tales of the 80s and probably still demanding we bring the piano down to the poolside so he could spontaneously host a singalong. Would he have gone grey gracefully, or insisted on dying his hair jet-black? Sadly, we’ll never know, but that’s just the way it was meant to be. As it is, we love to preserve the memory of Freddie just as he was – truly one-of-a-kind, with a sense of whimsy, wonder and magic that's never been seen since – and we do love celebrating his heavenly birthdays each year.
