Today, our guests surprised us with a stunning bouquet and a bottle of wine. It was a beautiful gesture that truly touched our hearts.

​This isn't something that happens often, but it's always special when it does. Sometimes it's a simple thank-you note, sometimes a postcard, or maybe even chocolates—little tokens of appreciation that can be quite overwhelming at times. 🥹 💓 After all, why would strangers feel compelled to give us a gift?

​But now, I understand.

It's not about the gift itself, but rather a reflection of their experience here. They felt welcomed, comfortable, and cared for. And that is the true reward.

These acts of kindness are not just gifts, but a confirmation that our efforts are truly appreciated. They motivate us to continue providing exceptional service to our guests and to ensure that they have a memorable stay here at our home in Tenerife.

Some places are much more than just somewhere to swim. 🌊

Lago Martiánez, in Puerto de la Cruz, is one of César Manrique’s best-known creations in Tenerife. A unique space where volcanic landscapes, the ocean and architecture come together beautifully.

A place to walk, take a swim and enjoy one of the most characteristic spots in the north of the island. 🤍

And afterwards, you can return to our accommodation in Santa Úrsula, just 15 minutes away by car, where you can enjoy some peace and beautiful Atlantic views. 🌴🏡

Behind this home, there is a story ❤️

We are a family from Tenerife, and more specifically from Santa Úrsula, a village in the north of the island where you can still feel the Canarian spirit that we love so much. ❣️

Santa Úrsula is not one of those places that exists only for tourism. Here, we still have our fields and vegetable gardens, our guachinches, our local wine, our traditional food, and those little places where locals go to eat, meet friends and simply feel at home. 🏘️☀️🌳

We were born here, we live here, we built our family here… and this home was born here too.

Before becoming a holiday home, it was our home. The dream of two teenagers who, little by little, with a lot of hard work, hope and determination, built a place for their own family. 🧑‍🧑‍🧒🏡

We loved our home very much, and over time we decided to give it a new life.

We wanted to find a way to grow without leaving our land behind, while also having the opportunity to meet people from all over the world and share with them a small piece of Tenerife.

So we went back to work hard. 💪💡🤓
We adapted the house, fulfilled all the necessary requirements and regulations and, finally, opened its doors. 🫶

But we decided to do it in our own way: managing it ourselves.

We decorate, clean, prepare, look after and maintain every corner ourselves. Because we don't want it to be simply another holiday rental with cold, distant management.

We want it to keep the warmth of a home and the feeling of being welcomed by someone who receives a friend. 🫂

And when our guests ask us what to do in Tenerife, we have our own guide, filled with places we believe you shouldn't miss in the north and, most importantly, our personal local recommendations.

We love sharing the places we visit ourselves, the little corners that are part of our everyday life and the Tenerife we know and love.

Because after a day discovering the island, we want you to come back to a place where you can simply feel at home. 🤍

We also like to ask something from everyone who visits us: please respect our land.

Tenerife is wonderful, but it is also a small and fragile island, with a way of life that deserves to be cared for.

Santa Úrsula is much more than the place where we live. It is part of who we are. 🌿

My family comes from the countryside. We grew up seeing the land being worked, caring for the vineyards and learning that the countryside has no schedule. Even though we all have our own jobs and responsibilities, we still make time to look after the land, because it is part of us. Just like the sea is part of this island, so is the land.

Here in Santa Úrsula, agriculture and wine are part of our history. There are still people who work from sunrise to sunset, with soil and sweat on their hands, just as our parents, grandparents and generations before them did.

For us, it is not simply about growing crops. It is a connection to our roots, our identity and a way of understanding life. It means knowing where we come from and feeling responsible for caring for this heritage and passing it on to future generations.

Santa Úrsula still has that warm, welcoming village spirit, where people greet their neighbours, stop for a chat and relationships still feel personal. A village shaped by tradition, farming, wine and hardworking people.

And then there are our guachinches — small, traditional places where you can enjoy local wine, homemade Canarian food and the simple, genuine atmosphere that represents us so well. 🍷

There is also our wonderful climate, the green landscapes of the north, the Atlantic Ocean and the peace of living in a village that is still close to everything.

Maybe that is why we love Santa Úrsula so much. Because it is not simply a beautiful place to visit. It is a place with soul.

This is also Tenerife. This is our land. And this is our way of keeping its traditions alive. ❤️
