🔍 A little behind-the-scenes update from Three Palms Villa! 🏡
The villa has recently been through a pretty thorough compliance check by the local council. And when we say thorough, we mean thorough! 😅
The good news? The things that matter most to us were already in great shape. Guest comfort and amenities were already well above the standards set by the council; we previously took action on fire safety and pool safety signage, and we only needed to make a few electrical upgrades to bring everything up to the latest standards (which we have done)
There were just two final little jobs to tick off, both of which have now been addressed (well, one is booked in for our next visit!).
💦 Pool safety: We already have non-slip steps into the pool, but apparently steps alone aren't enough these days. A handrail is also required, so we’ve got one installed. Safety first, of course! 😉
🚪 Emergency exit signage: Every villa needs a designated emergency exit. Ours is the front door, which you’d have thought would be quite easy to find! 😂 Still, rules are rules, so an emergency exit sign will be going up on our next visit.
Joking aside, we’re really pleased that the check confirmed how much care goes into maintaining the villa and keeping it safe and comfortable for our guests.
There’s a lot that goes on behind the scenes when you own a holiday villa, and we want guests to know that we take it seriously. We’d much rather put the effort in and get things right.
