Working with volcanic stone means listening to the landscape.

At Bodega Blanch, the restoration of a historic winery dating back to 1865 is conceived through local and natural materials, preserving the character of the original architecture while giving new life to the space.

Every stone is shaped by hand, revealing its texture, weight and imperfections. A dialogue between what was already there and what we add today — rooted in Lanzarote, its geology and its traditional craftsmanship.

Trabajar la piedra volcánica significa escuchar el paisaje.

En Bodega Blanch, la restauración de una bodega histórica de 1865 se plantea a través de materiales locales y naturales, respetando el carácter de la arquitectura original y dando una nueva vida al espacio.

Cada piedra se trabaja a mano, dejando visibles su textura, su peso y sus imperfecciones. Un diálogo entre lo que ya existía y lo que incorporamos hoy, arraigado en Lanzarote, en su geología y en su tradición artesanal.

Stone, mesh and the landscape within.

At Bodega Blanch, architecture becomes a conversation between what is found and what is created. Raúl Almenara works with volcanic stone and metal mesh to reinterpret one of Lanzarote’s most characteristic materials through a contemporary language.

The structures create volumes, filters and intimate spaces, allowing the volcanic rock to become part of the architecture itself. A raw, honest materiality that connects the interior with the landscape of La Geria.

Nothing is added for the sake of decoration. The stone, the mesh, the light and the space are enough.

Piedra, malla y paisaje interior.

En Bodega Blanch, la arquitectura se convierte en un diálogo entre lo encontrado y lo creado. Raúl Almenara trabaja con piedra volcánica y malla metálica para reinterpretar uno de los materiales más característicos de Lanzarote desde un lenguaje contemporáneo.

Estas estructuras, crean volúmenes, filtros y espacios íntimos, haciendo que la piedra volcánica pase a formar parte de la propia arquitectura. Una materialidad cruda y honesta que conecta el interior con el paisaje de La Geria.

Nada se añade por simple decoración. La piedra, la malla, la luz y el espacio son suficientes.

Designed and manufactured in Barcelona by Invento Project, the kitchen brings an industrial language into the landscape of the island — where materiality, simplicity and attention to detail tell their own story.

La cocina de desayunos de Bodega Blanch ha sido concebida como algo más que un espacio funcional: una pieza de diseño que forma parte de la propia arquitectura.

Acero inoxidable, estructura, textura y luz se encuentran en una composición precisa y sobria, creando un diálogo entre el diseño contemporáneo y el carácter esencial de Lanzarote.

Diseñada y fabricada en Barcelona por Invento Project, la cocina introduce un lenguaje industrial en el paisaje de la isla, donde la materia, la sencillez y la atención al detalle cuentan su propia historia.

Un espacio pensado para ser vivido, observado y experimentado.

Volcanic stone. Human hands. A landscape shaped by time.

At Bodega Blanch, the boundary between interior and exterior disappears. Architecture and landscape come together to tell the story of La Geria — a place where man has learned to work with the volcanic earth rather than against it.

Each stone carries a fragment of this landscape: the dark volcanic soil, the traces of fire, and the enduring work of the people who transformed this harsh terrain into a living agricultural landscape.

Here, architecture, nature and craftsmanship become one — a quiet dialogue between the land and the hands that have shaped it.

En Bodega Blanch, el límite entre interior y exterior desaparece. Arquitectura y paisaje se unen para contar el relato de La Geria: un lugar donde el hombre aprendió a trabajar con la tierra volcánica, en lugar de luchar contra ella.

Cada piedra guarda un fragmento de este paisaje: la oscuridad de la tierra volcánica, la huella del fuego y el trabajo paciente de quienes transformaron un territorio aparentemente inhóspito en un paisaje agrícola único.
