We have a difficult garden, it’s built onto the side of a steep rocky incline plus we inherited some interesting planting from previous owners. My passion is to make the garden into colourful areas. The garden will never be a typical neat garden, the terrain is difficult so it will always be rustic, blending in with the local surroundings and complementing the lovely dry stone walls. We’ve definitely got too many palm type trees but it’s impossible to remove them, all we can do is work on the areas surrounding them with pops of colour. This weekend the job was to remove some Aloe Vera plants on the terrace above the guest pool. They were encroaching into the dry stone wall and taking over the garden. The big decision now is what to plant in the gaps left behind 🤔
