River cottage is part of an exceptional private estate dating from the 17th century and one of the independent outbuildings, built with the famous white stone of Saintonge. Surrounded by gardens, fields and the Charente River, it has a private alley / driveway and its own access to the river. The site is picturesque, secluded and peaceful. Nice swimming, fishing, hiking, 3 golf courses. Lovely stress free place for "vieilles pierres" amateurs. Welcome!
