Forest View is a delightfully rural site set in the heart of the stunning Perche Valley of Southern Normandy backing onto the Foret de Saussey. With its 1 1/2 acre fishing and boating lake at its heart, Forest View uniquely combines peace and tranquility with family activities that help create holiday memories that last a life time.

FOREST VIEW FISHING BULLETIN

Due to bank erosion, Fishing Peg E has been moved West approximately 10 metres.
Its former position is now permanently closed.
Please refer to the accompanying map for the authorised peg areas.

We sincerely thank the many responsible anglers who respect our lake, fish and facilities.
Unfortunately, recent breaches mean we must remind everyone that our fishing rules are conditions of fishing—not optional guidelines.

Particular attention is drawn to:

• Maximum two rods per peg
• Maximum ½ kg of ground bait per rod, per day
• Baited hooks must be cast by rod only
• No bait boats, spoons, sonar devices or waders
• No entering or standing in the lake, except in a genuine emergency
• Fishing from designated pegs only
• The Out of Bounds area must be respected

Anyone failing to respect the rules will risk having their fishing permission withdrawn

Thank you to everyone who continues to fish responsibly and helps us protect Forest View Lake.

You never know who’s coming to tea at Forest View.

Campsite life is never dull — especially when Casper from the Netherlands arrived with his totally unique, self-built Citroën 2CV and matching Citroën van “caravan”. Quirky, clever and full of character!
Then we met Philippe, Alain and Michel — three retired French defence force veterans from Réunion, walking from Paris to Mont Saint-Michel. Around 342km on foot, sleeping only in churches along the way.
They stopped for refreshments, resisted the temptation of our pods, and carried on with their challenge.
Classic cars, epic journeys and wonderful people — you never quite know who’s coming to tea at Forest View .

Great to welcome four Moto-Passion 35 riders and their Royal Enfields last weekend! We’d love to see more members, and any biker groups looking for a seriously biker-friendly stop: hot food, cold beers, secure bike storage, hard-standing pitches and a proper Forest View welcome.

French MotoGP at Forest View — what a season starter!

Join us Sunday 10th May for French Moto GP live from Le Mans on the big screen. We’re kicking off the new season with the first of many great sporting events — bar open from 10am for hot and cold drinks, free snacks, and bistro menu available all day."

The countdown to 1st May is well and truly on! Here at Forest View we’ve been flat out preparing for the new season — cutting hedges, mowing grass, clearing and processing overwinter fallen and damaged trees, servicing machines and repairing the campsite roads. We’ve also been busy tackling wild boar damage with the Blecavator, with re-seeding now the final stage of putting things right. Huge thanks to my fantastic merry band of helpers Paul, Steve, Dave and Ross for all the hard work, laughs and teamwork. We’re making great progress and getting Forest View ready for a brilliant opening!

Everything is coming together beautifully at Forest View as we make the final preparations for the new season. Freshly raked driveways, tidied grounds and plenty of care behind the scenes all mean one thing — opening day is getting close! We’re so looking forward to welcoming everyone back from 1st May for another lovely season of relaxing breaks, camping adventures and special memories.
