1000th GUEST
We are very pleased to have reached the milestone of having had 1000 guests stay with us at La Martinière since we opened in April 2021.
Two couples arrived over the weekend- Ian and Jenni a direct booking from the UK and Larissa and Marius from Essen in Germany who had made their reservation via Nature.house NL. As not certain which of the couples were our actual 1000th guest. Helen presented them both with a bottle of Champagne yesterday evening which we all enjoyed as the sun went down whilst on the top garden deck.
Thank you to all our guests who have stayed with us at La Martinière.

We were full for September but due to a cancellation we now have the first two weeks in L’Hirondelle available.
In our opinion the best time to visit as schools have returned and temperatures are lower after the summer heat waves.
Available dates: Saturday 30th August to Friday 11th September inclusive.

We offer guests breakfast or dinner in your gîte or outdoors whilst staying at our 4* Gìtes/BnB - La Martinière. Continental breakfast and or a selection of cooked breakfasts. All cooked to order. Nothing frozen as all bread, croissants, pain au chocolat etc. are collected fresh each morning from our local boulangerie.
We offer guests who have travelled all day an Arrival supper plus we also have a 2/3 course dinner menu and if celebrating a special occasion a Menu Gourmand. All our menus can be viewed on our website.

RECEIVED FANTASTIC NEWS TODAY
Last week ATOUT France (L’Agence de Développement Touristique de La France) visited us to renew our 5 year classification. When we opened Gîtes de la Martinière in April 2021 we received an initial 3* rating. Following their visit we are so pleased we have been awarded a 4* rating.
We are very proud of this as we expect to welcome our 1000th guest in June or July. Plus we have reached an incredible 51 countries in which guests have come from.
We still have some dates available whether a few nights or longer. Dates available are on our calendar on the reservation page of the website.

With the news that many flights are being cancelled in June due to airlines fuel shortage. We have had 2 cancellations in June due to illness.
Perhaps a ferry across the Channel to north west France would be of interest. Brittany Ferries have announced no price increases as they purchased this summer season fuel in advance.
Yes car fuel has risen but still readily available here. For information please see our website which has email and telephone number.

Our Normandy barn conversion offers two 60m2 luxury apartments (gîtes) each for couples on the Normandy/Loire and Brittany border. Available (min. 2 nights) self-catered with the option of breakfast and or dinner daily. Our location is in beautiful rural countryside, very quiet with a beautiful garden to relax in. Surrounded by the orchards producing the apples and pears for the local cider and calvados with rolling fields and woodland where the cows graze to produce the milk for the Camembert cheese.
Both our gîtes are over two floors - upstairs has a Super Kingsize bed (200x200cm) and en-suite bathroom. Downstairs - an open plan fully equipped kitchen, dining and living room with a wood burner.
For day outs explore the many villages and medieval towns we can recommend to you, visit wonderful food markets, enjoy lunch or dinner at numerous recommended restaurants and the famous Mont St.Michel and Saint Malo are an easy drive from us.
