The route has been set by the CGT, as shown in the first photo from Le Parisien

The Gilets Jaunes route from Bastille to Place de l'Opéra via République was not approved.

24 metro stops will close from 9h00 tomorrow morning, and bus disruptions are expected. Check the RATP Group for any updates.

Some museums will be closed, events cancelled and the last two days of Art Basel have been cancelled.

There may be some chaos so stay away from the route tomorrow if you can

There was supposed to be a protest by the students today, however, the Préfecture de Police has not authorised it.

There are, however, still RATP Group metro stations closed that are along the route, as a precaution as of 10h00

Certain RATP Group stations will be closed from 22h:

🔹République:
Metro lines 3, 5, 8, 9, & 11

🔹Châtelet & Châtelet - Les Halles:
RER A, B, & D plus Metro lines 1, 4, 7, 11, & 14

🔹Les Halles:
Metro line 4

Trains will pass through these stations without stopping, and transfers will not be available.

There are a lot of closed metro stations and diverted buses today, so be sure to check the RATP Group site.

Le Parisien posted this map of the protest route.

Note: this is not strictly students. There will be Gilets Jaunes and other groups. This may, as a result be more serious than the previous protests.

Avoid areas around the route and public transport today, If you can.

One of my favourite weekends of the year! 🍷🎺🎉

The Fête des Vendanges de Montmartre is back, and I haven’t missed a parade in over 20 years. The w**e flows, the music carries you away, and the whole neighbourhood seems to come out to celebrate.

But behind all the fun is a wonderful tradition: w**e-growing regions from across France send their brotherhoods and confraternities to represent their terroirs, share their w**es and celebrate alongside gastronomic and agricultural producers. Local civic and cultural associations join the procession, too — a reminder of Montmartre’s fiercely independent spirit and the legacy of the République de Montmartre, founded in 1921, before the village was absorbed into Paris.

It’s one of the most joyful weekends on the Butte, and a lovely reminder that Montmartre is much more than its postcard views. ❤️

Coming this weekend? Here’s when to go:

🎺 The Grand Parade — Saturday, 10 October, 11h45 –13h30. It leaves from the Clos Montmartre vineyards and winds its way through the streets to the 18th arrondissement town hall. Arrive early for a good spot!

🍷 The Parcours du Goût — Friday 9 & Saturday 10 October, 10h–23h; Sunday 11 October, 10h–19h. Producers, w**emakers and artisans from across France gather around Sacré-Cœur. Entry is free; food and drink are available to buy.

🎶 And throughout the five-day festival, from 7–11 October, there are concerts, street performances, neighbourhood events and plenty of opportunities to join in.

The following stations will be closed today until the Police Prefecture authorises them to reopen:

➡️ Charles de Gaulle – Étoile: RER A; Metro Lines 1, 2, & 6
➡️ Argentine: Metro Line 1
➡️ Metro Line 6: Service is suspended between Charles de Gaulle – Étoile and Kléber.

🍇 Fête des Vendanges de Montmartre 🍇

The 93rd edition of Montmartre's w**e festival starts tomorrow, Oct 7, and runs through Sunday, Oct 11 with the theme, 'The 18th sets the rhythm'.

This annual festival has so much to love.
Our personal favourite is the parade, which will happen on Saturday from 11h45-13h30.

Be sure to check out the 'Parcours du Goût'.
