NEW UPLOAD: The next step! Installing a tropical pond in our Art Nouveau Glasshouse

Marc rescued a ruined 19th century Greenhouse and has spent 3 years rebuilding it at the chateau. Today we are installing the tropical pond basin, made from an old fuel cistern, into the chateau greenhouse. It will become a beautiful and functional element that will serve to help keep the greenhouse humid and warm.

I made this! It might be my first fully completed carpentry project and I designed it myself as I went along. Quite proud. Maman hen and her duckling will be very safe in this.

On the orders of our landscape architect we're continued to dig up our front lawn to see if we can find any traces of the historic terraces that were built there centuries ago. This week Amy also takes the time to harvest cherries to make a very special French dessert.

Today we are transforming the chateau's old fuel tank into a tropical pond for the greenhouse, which will be a decorative and beautiful addition that also serves to help keep the greenhouse humid and warm. We also begin work on the arched stone tunnel entrance to the greenhouse!
