The Chapelle Saint-Pierre at Villefranche-sur-Mer near Nice was decorated by Jean Cocteau in 1957 with extraordinary painted scenes from the life of Saint Peter and the life of the fishermen of Villefranche in a sinuous linear style that is one of the most completely personal and most unusual expressions of 20th-century religious art in France.

Entry to the chapel costs around 3 euros.
