Vacations are meant to be family time including your four legged members. You are 10 minutes from awesome beaches, in one of the top ranked wine areas (Medoc).

You have a large garden, pool, and 10mins to beautiful beaches, with a vineyard as your neighbour. You have 3000m2 of private yard and a 7mx8m private pool, with a bien etre facility where your kids can play without waking sleeping parents. There is no TV or Radio, but with provided Wifi you can bring your streaming content. You can be active or you can laze in the sun, or you can hit the water at the beach or pool. Your choice, enjoy!

And with this the season has ended! Everything is packed up and waiting until seasons 2027.

What did I learn this season? People used the pool quite a bit with all the pool toys. The Wellness Area was used quite heavily as usual.

My last clients just checked out and the season is done. This was my first client with a pair of cats. The cats were quite cute. I find their faces quite adorable.

I always know the season is coming to a close when I walk my dogs and notice the sun is just rising. I get up at 6:45 every morning during gite season. I need to clean the pool, walk dogs and do other little chores. I have busy mornings. Sometimes it is tedious getting up each and every morning at 6:45. But I do it.

Though now with the sun rising ever so much later I know soon I will be able to get up later. Woohoo. I also know another season is behind me and thats a bit saddening.

So one of the things I detest in Medoc during the month of August is walking in the forest. There are deer flies and they number in the thousands. It is not a pleasant walk, and they bug the dogs. So we go to the Estuary. That suits us fine even with a Red Warning Level for the forest.

Ready for our next guest. I have been meaning to install a charging station for a while (drive electrical myself). A guest asked if he could plug in and I bit the bullet and built a charging station area.

I am planning on charging a 10 Euro access fee, with my EDF KWh electrical prices. I think that is fair. It is not a profit maker, just a convience.

Our current guests have a white shepherd called Nica. He just came back from his walk in the vineyards, and rolled in something that smells quite special...

My first guests have returned back home, and sadly they were caught by the BAC (ferry) wait (3 hours) :( They enjoyed their stay even though we were in a mini lockdown. Bruno their Lab was a sweetheart.

Though Bruno did not go swimming in the pool. My brother asked me, "is he broken?" Sadly yeah, when he was a pup he had a bad experience with water. Poor pup.. :(

And now the guest area is ready... The first client arrives Saturday.

The guest yard is finally ready. The pool is crystal clear and ready. Just missing the badminton nets, but they are coming Thursday. The one I have is 9.5 meters long. A tad long IMO...

The boat is gone as well and makes the yard look much bigger.

I have a shortened season as I needed to get the place ready. But today all will be ready. Here is the wellness area, ready for the clients.
