A wonderfully fascinating read about the extraordinary bravery of early lifeboat crews.

The Old Lifeboat House was built in 1832 as Aberdyfi’s first lifeboat station, in the days when lifeboats were launched by horse and cart, then powered by oars. It’s quite something to imagine crews launching from here into the rough seas of Cardigan Bay with nothing but their own strength to get them out….. and safely home again.
